Beatton Provincial Park

Beatton Provincial Park offers 12kim/7.5mi of forested trails that are great to take the whole family on for a day of cross-country skiing. With the variety of groomed trails and set tracks, there is something for everyone no matter your skill level and experience. The park’s top loop trail is not groomed, but is skied often resulting in it usually being well carved.

Links Golf Course

Cross-country ski near town along the maintained trails at the Fort St. John Links Golf Course. With 3km/1.9mi of relatively flat skate and classic groomed trails, it’s a great opportunity for beginning skiers and families to enjoy the unique wilderness setting of Fort St. John.

Peace Island Park

Enjoy the groomed forested trails along the banks of the 1,923km/1,195mi long Peace River at the Peace Island Park.

Please Note: Whether skiing existing trails or alternate routes, skiers should dress in layers and bring along extra clothing. Winter temperatures average between -18˚C/1˚F and -6˚C/21˚F, and sudden weather change is common.
