Fish Creek Community Forest

Hike or stroll along the trails that weave in and out of the coniferous and aspen forests. Interpretive signage is dotted along the trails, providing information about the various surrounding flora and fauna. A variety of trails are available, ranging from easy paved walkways that are wheelchair accessible, to the moderate hilly trails along the valley bottom..

Fort St. John Community Trails

Leisurely strolling paved trails are available along the outskirts of Fort St. John, around the bypass road, and some through the local forested areas. All these trails are easily accessible from the Northern Lights College.

Hiking Peace River & Beatton River

Up for more of a challenge? Experienced hikers can adventure the undeveloped steep slopes of the Peace and Beatton River trails. Along the trails there is an abundance of surrounding bird and wildlife, as well as several blooming flowers during the spring.

 

Beatton Provincial Park

The Beatton Provincal Park offers extensive forested trails that run along the east shore of Charlie Lake. Keep an eye open for surrounding songbirds and wildlife such as deer!

Charlie Lake Provincial Park

These trails run along the surrounding area, and some connecting to campgrounds throughout the park. Charlie Lake Provincial Park also has a play area for children, and is a great option for family hiking and camping.
